Dear Editor
It brings me real sadness that I write to you, as on the 31st of October I had an accident in Abu Tig Marina whilst I was walking with my friend to Smokery’s Yacht club.
We were dropped off round the back by the tuc tuc and I fell down a hole on a broken pavement. The lighting also a major cause for concern as it was insuffient to see the broken slab and I cut my knee very deeply.
The staff at “The Smokery,” werevery efficient and gave excellent first aid They immediately stopped the bleeding that was running out of my knee and treated me for shock. I then had to take a taxi to El Gouna hospital and I received four stitches. My two weeks here has been ruined as I have difficulty in walking and I am in pain.
I am so very disappointed at the condition of the pavements and street light in El Gouna especaially round the back of the Marina. El Gouna wealth relies on its reputation as being a World class resort. I visit El Gouna twice a month as I work for Easyjet Airlines.
This incident has demonstrated that the standard of info structure in El Gouna such as the pavements and the street lighting is below standard. I went to The Yacht club to enjoy a Halloween party but unfortunately my Halloween finished in hospital. I have contacted Orascom Customer Services as I would like to claim my expenses for the hospital fees and be compensated for the holiday I have lost.
Up until now I have not heard anything . I am very disappointed with the total lack of customer service provided by a Multi million dollar company.
Here attached are photos of my injury. I have also sent a copy to The Smokery as I know I am not the first of there customers who has fallen down. It is unacceptable for any establishment not being able to provide a safe and reliable pathway to their establishment.
Regards
